1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the SARSYC VI website (www.sarsyc.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. Conference Registration

2.1 Eligibility

SARSYC VI is open to students, young professionals, researchers, policymakers, and development partners interested in youth health and education in Southern Africa.

2.2 Registration Requirements

  • All information provided must be accurate and complete
  • Registration is non-transferable
  • Cancellation policy as per conference guidelines
  • Payment must be completed before deadline (if applicable)

3. Abstract Submission

3.1 Originality

All submitted abstracts must be original work. Plagiarism or duplicate submissions will result in rejection and possible ban from future conferences.

3.2 Review Process

Abstracts are peer-reviewed by the SARSYC Steering Committee. Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

3.3 Publication

Accepted abstracts may be published in conference proceedings. By submitting, you grant SARSYC permission to publish your work.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Website Content

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is owned by SAYWHAT or licensed for use. Unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

4.2 User-Submitted Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (abstracts, presentations) but grant SARSYC a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and distribute for conference purposes.

5. Code of Conduct

Conference participants must:

  • Treat all participants with respect and dignity
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Comply with venue rules and local laws

Violations may result in removal from conference without refund.

6. Liability

SAYWHAT and SARSYC organizers are not liable for:

  • Travel delays or cancellations
  • Loss of personal property
  • Illness or injury (beyond reasonable care)
  • Changes to programme or speakers

7. Force Majeure

SARSYC may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, etc.). In such cases, alternative arrangements or refunds will be considered.

8. Photography and Recording

The conference may be photographed and recorded for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to use of your image unless you explicitly opt-out during registration.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
