Biography

Nomsa Matongo is a Zimbabwean student of forensic psychology and criminology at the University of Zimbabwe, with a strong passion for advancing justice systems, youth development, and African-centred approaches to social change. Her academic and advocacy work is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those promoting quality education, reduced inequalities, and the strengthening of peace, justice, and institutions. She is deeply interested in exploring how psychological and legal systems can be enhanced to better address the lived realities of young people within African contexts. Through her involvement in educational volunteering and youth engagement initiatives, Nomsa has demonstrated a commitment to fostering research-driven, culturally relevant solutions that support inclusive development and social justice.
